A BOGGY pitch, driving rain and a plucky Solent City side could not stop Division 1 leaders Wickham Dynamos marching triumphantly on.
City took the lead when Andy Freeman volleyed a through ball by Peter Rothwell into the top left-hand corner. But Dynamos equalised through John Wickham before a Steve O'Leary brace secured a 3-1 win for Dynamos.
Fareham Sacred Hearts found West Meon & Warnford a handful before beating them 4-2 thanks to James Chalmers (2) and Graham Lindsey (2).
Titchfield FC claimed their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw against Inter Wickham United with Brett Draper and Kevin Shiers scoring for United.
Fareham Dynamos twice came from behind to beat Division 3 leaders Lynx Sports 3-2. Trevor Mussington netted the first equaliser and Mark Hands the second. Simon Leyland scored the winning goal while Steve Munden made a string of vital saves in goal for Dynamos.
FC Portsdown went down 2-1 against Clanfield FC. Mark Clenshaw scored Portsdown's goal with a bullet header from a good ball by Justin Kemp.
Damp, wet and away from home, Athletico Porto lost their first Division 4 points of the season in a 3-3 draw with Lotus X1 Reserves. Colin Randle happily tapped in Porto's opener following a good cross. Adam Baxter added a second after a driving run and sweet finish. But, just when things looked to be going all Porto's way, Lotus equalised right on the stroke of half time.
With the weather deteriorating by the minute, Porto managed to lead courtesy of an own goal. They put all their players behind the ball but a bad clearance saw Lotus grab a last-minute equaliser.
Spinnaker FC outplayed Sparta Athletic to go home 6-2 winners. Simon Machola scored a hat-trick, Andy Lowe a brace and James Munce a solo goal.
