A NEW IT website, launched by a Romsey firm, is already hitting the spot for people searching for IT jobs all over the country.
Launched at the Internet Exchange in the Bargate Centre in Southamp-ton, the eagerly-awaited website - at www.itjobseek.co.uk - is a dedicated website for the IT industry.
The website is in response to IT employees requesting a dedicated portal and IT Jobseek is expected to attract thousands of hits immediately, with hundreds of recruitment agencies posting jobs on the site in anticipation of the demand.
A highly-targeted marketing campaign has already been launched in the South to promote the website and 11 further launches are planned around the country.
Atul Kumar, managing director of IT Jobseek, said: "The launch of IT Jobseek in the South is key to our success.
"There is a large concentration of major IT corporations south of London and this will give us a solid base in which to roll out further campaigns and launches throughout the rest of the country."
Mr Kumar added: "There are other recruitment websites on the Internet but few are dedicated solely to the huge IT sector which employs around half a million employees in the UK - we hope to tap into the majority of that market. People will find our site easy to navigate and importantly offer a large number of jobs.
"The key to IT Jobseek is the domain name. It's easy to remember and that's half the battle."
