TV news presenter Andrew Harvey, pictured, will be making the headlines at Romsey on Saturday.
The former BBC South presenter will be the celebrity visitor at the Christmas market being organised by the Romsey and Eastleigh Friends of Naomi House, the children's hospice.
It is being held at the Crosfield Hall between 10am and 4pm. Admission is free.
Andrew will be accompanied by Test Valley's mayor and mayoress Councillor and Mrs Tony Hope with a special guard of honour for the opening ceremony.
There will be more than 25 stalls with a wide range of attractions.
Ann Twyman, of the Romsey and Eastleigh Friends of Naomi House, said: "Forget the weather and petrol problems and do some early Christmas shopping in the friendliest market in town."
