EASTLEIGH Rangers withstood early Bishopstoke pressure to cruise to a 7-2 victory in their Under-16 Division 3 match in a rain affected weekend.
Rangers soon got into their stride with Jamie Nash (2), Aaron Richardson, Shaun Smith, Stu Clark, Ollie Crook and Steve Marsh scoring the vital goals. Reece Badger and J Callaghan replied for Bishopstoke.
There were fours all-round for Mansel who defeated Woodside Rovers 4-0 in Division 4 thanks to four goals from Jamie Norman. Michelmerch & Timsbury went one better with a high five to get the better of Granley Rovers 5-0 thanks to a David Griffin hat-trick and strikes from Paul Trays and Tom Brown.
Hedge End Rangers B made it through to the next round of the Under-16 Challenge Cup with an 8-1 replay victory over Laverstock & Ford. The first match ended 5-5 but goals from Andy Bauck (2), Steve Dare (2), Phil Hall, Sam Bruty, Alan Cardwell and Jason Kerno did the damage this time round.
Portsmouth RN also progress after edging out Exxon 2-1 thanks to Matt Stanleyforth and Alex Mitchell to keep their winning run going.
The only match to survive the weather in the Under-18 league came in Division 3 where Ice Sports hit Regents Park for six by beating them 6-0 with Gary Crab netting a hat-trick, Justin Price bagging a brace and Mickey Garwin adding the other.
