Host club Southampton Diving Academy dominated the second Southampton Invitational competition - medalling in almost every category as over 200 divers converged on the Quays for this fast-growing event.
The event is already establishing itself as one of the key steps up between novice championships and age-group nationals - attracting the best age-groupers who haven't placed in the national top six for a demanding set of dives against rivals from across the UK.
But Southampton's top performers included two youngsters who only started diving seven months ago. Luke de-ste-Croic took gold in the 11/under one-metre event, and silver on the platform. And Charlotte Tomkys took gold on the 14/15 years platform and bronze on the three-metre springboard.
Among their more experienced team-mates, Stephen Appleby won 11/under three-metre gold and one-metre bronze, Kelly Alderman took one-metre gold and bronze on both three-mere and platform; and Rebecca Frampton missed a one-metre bronze by just 0.2 points.
At 12/13 years, Anna Bennett-Britton took two golds and a silver, Nathan Frost swept to three straight golds and Patrick O'Reilly collected a three-metre bronze.
Robert Appleby could only contest the two 14/15 years springboard events: he won both. And brother Andrew Appleby repeated the feat for 16/18 years, adding silver on the platform. In the same age-group, Rebecca Sherry collected three bronze medals.
After this dominant display, a 19-strong SDA squad should travel in good heart to Cologne for next weekend's club international.
They'll face opposition from 11 countries - from Belarus to Zimbabwe.
The weekend after that, the Academy provides five of the six divers in the Divison 12 team for the English Schools championships at Hatfield.
Result: Southampton Diving Academy 148, City of Leeds 79, Plymouth 74; ten teams in all.
