AROUND 100 new jobs are set to be created with the expansion of the British Gas's customer service centre in Southampton.
The company is looking for around 100 permanent staff, ideally with some customer service experience, to work on a variety of set work patterns throughout the week.
The Southampton office is one of four principal customer service centres in the country for the company's gas and electricity supply operations. It has two types of vacancies, the majority being customer service advisers taking calls and answering letters from gas and electricity customers throughout the country.
There are also some vacancies for customer relations advisers who deal with high level inquiries.
Stuart Roberts, British Gas customer services manager, said: "We are looking for people who have the confidence to deal with a number of different telephone inquiries while maintaining the high level of customer service which we require as a company."
Anyone interested in finding out more about the jobs can call (023) 8082 4974 between 8.30am and 5pm.
