THIRD-seed Jeremy Wilson is the new Hampshire men's table tennis champion - and the first person to chalk up a hat-trick of different age group titles at the county championships.
The former University of Brighton student added the men's senior title at Southampton's Redbridge Sports Centre at the weekend.
In 1991, he won the county junior title, and then three years ago captured the intermediate trophy for under-21 players.
Wilson defeated Gary Longland (Southampton) in the quarter-finals, seven times winner Graham Toole (Bournemouth) in the semis and the 1993 champion and No. 1 seed Ramesh Bhalla of Aldershot 21-18, 21-13 in the final.
Wilson is the first Andover player to win any Hampshire senior title in its 50 year history.
Bhalla's semi final victim in a very close match was Southampton's Chris Wilshere who gained revenge later in the day when defeating Bhalla 21-14, 21-14 in the final of the men's veteran event.
Barbara Savage, now of Winchester, won both ladies' senior and veteran's singles titles, defeating Jackie Rice (Aldershot) in both finals.
Beaten semi-finalists in the ladies singles event were Vera Hutchinson (Aldershot) and Anne Longland (Southampton).
Two Southampton University students contested the intermediate final with Davis Rolls defeating Anthony Ellis 21-14, 21-11.
Double finals - Men's: Ramesh Bhalla & Phil Snelson (Aldershot) beat Yannis Demas (Portsmouth) and Rod McMullen (Gosport & Fareham) 16-12, 21-11, 21-18.
Women's: Barbara Savage and Anne Longland beat Mary Barron (Portsmouth) and Marge Massey 21-14, 21-11.
