DEFENDING Andover & District Netball League champions Kenyons showed their experience when they chalked up one of their biggest ever wins with a a runnaway 84-10 victory over Access Care in a recent first division match played on the outdoor courts.

Access GD Sarah Pennell marked well and did not give up, but Access were rarely unable to clear the ball to their shooters and when they did Kenyons' 'keeper Zara Colwell denied them any success.

Despite all their efforts Access never had enough possession in middle court to make an impressie. They sadly seemed out of their depth and trailed 33-4 at half time.

In the second half Kenyons showed no mercy with GA Jane Lane able to practice her shooting skills and when Tash King came on for Colwell the tempo of scoring increased even more for an inevitable final score line.

In a second division match played on the same night newly-promoted Sullect beat Lloyds TSB 35-13 with college coach Barbara Snow in action as shooter as a temorary replacement for talented younster Jody Cockcroft, who has joined her father's pub team SAS II.

The young Sullect side played with plenty of determination and moved the ball well in attack, with their excellent centre Sam Softley providing a constant supply of good ball into the circle.

GD Emma Walker was her usual energetic self in defence, which was just as well as the TSB shooters rarely miss once they have gain possession. In fact, possession of the ball seemed to be the key to the match as GA Jodie Scott either fed team-mate Barbara Snow or slotted the goals in herself.

Both sets of shooters were good and for a while the score line was quite close. GD Tina Hawkins worked tirelessly in the TSB defence but the Sullect girls started to pull away before half time.

A change in the Sullect defence in the second half saw Kelly Fisher replacing the much improved Kelly Sullivan at WD which kept the flow going their way and, despite all the efforts of Lloyds TSB playmakers Lynn Cummins and Jo Mussel, Sullect eventually ran out winners by a good margin.
