FOUR bicycles and a tricycle were stolen from Gosport as thieves continue to target the borough.

An epidemic of bicycle thefts has hit Gosport in the last 18 months and police have introduced a new registration scheme for owners.

Thieves struck at Palmyra Road, taking a yellow Pashley Picador tricycle worth £300, by breaking into a shed.

The four bicycles, including a woman's purple Raleigh, a man's green mountain and a men's turquoise mountain and a silver men's Carrera mountain bike, were stolen from Anthony Grove and St Edward's Road.
