VOLUNTEER work may be just the thing to fill spare time caused by early retirement or redundancy, according to Eastleigh Volunteer Bureau.
And if the thought of dark winter days is getting you down, the bureau could provide just the fillip.
The organisation is set to hold an open morning, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, on Thursday, November 9, at 16 Romsey Road, Eastleigh, to give prospective volunteers a taste of how they could help.
"Why not come along, browse through leaflets, have a cup of coffee and chat to staff? We will be on hand to offer advice and information about voluntary opportunities and how you might get involved," said a spokeswoman.
Prospective volunteers can contact Julia Allan or Dee Tuffill on 023 8090 2400, or just turn up on the day.
