MORE than 600 Hampshire youngsters will bring the story of the Mary Rose to life at the Royal Albert Hall next month, as part of the Music for Youth Schools Prom.
Hampshire County Youth Orchestra and Hampshire County Youth Band will accompany singers to tell the tale of the ship's sinking through a vibrant combination of dance and drama.
The county's millennium composer Martin Read will conduct his work in front of an audience of 5,000. The Mary Rose is one of the movements from a piece called Between Now and Always: A Hampshire Cantata.
Richard Howlett, from the county council's music services, said: "This is a very exciting opportunity for young people."
