HOME-START Eastleigh is set to go back to the Swinging Sixties in a bid to raise much-needed funds to cover the cost of a Christmas party for under fives.
Organisers are hoping that a nostalgic evening of music from popular local band Peter Pod and the Peas, supported by Contact Roadshow, at Eastleigh Railway Institute on Friday, November 3, will prove to be just the fillip Santa needs.
The voluntary organisation offers friendship, support and practical help to families in the Eastleigh Borough who are under stress, have at least one child under the age of five and who are finding the going a bit tough.
A plea has gone out to the community to support the event and organisers are asking people to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Home-Start office on 023 8061 2310.
