An elderly woman has been conned out of up to £60,000 worth of paintings and jewellery by two tricksters.
The men, both white and aged 20 to 30, knocked at the door her home in St James' Lane, Winchester, expressing interest in some of her property.
But when they left, the pensioner, who is almost 80, realised they had taken the items. They included an 18th century oil painting by Villmar valued at £30,000 and a landscape watercolour by Richard Green.
Two gold rings set with diamonds, worth £5,000 and £2,000 each, another diamond ring worth £3,000, a brooch set with 19 diamonds valued at £3,700, and a ladies' watch in nine-carat gold valued at £800 were also stolen.
