A REWARD has been offered for information which helps track down thieves who took thousands of pounds worth of electrical goods from an Eastleigh warehouse earlier this month.

The Comet group has put up £500 for anyone who can provide clues leading to the recovery of the goods and to the arrest and conviction of the offenders.

The haul was taken on October 2 between 4-5.30am when two Comet vehicles were targeted at the Goodwood Industrial Estate.

One lorry was used to take away fridges, freezers, dishwashers, cookers, DVD players, television sets and camcorders.

It is believed the lorry could have contained as much as 7.5 tons of equipment.

Later the same day the lorry was found abandoned empty in the High Lawn Way area of Leigh Park at Havant.

Eastleigh police are working on the assumption that the thieves are from the Havant area.

Anyone with any information should contact DC Garnet Foster at Eastleigh police station on 0845 045 4545.
