A Gosport subway could be transformed into a mini Jurassic Park just for a day this weekend.
Budding artists aged between seven and 12 can help create a living dinosaur landscape, on Sunday.
With grant aid from Dulux Community Projects 2000, the Wildgrounds Watch Group and Gosport Borough Council's countryside section want to paint a dinosaur parade to brighten up an unattractive subway under Howe Road.
The group's aim, with the help of local youngsters, is to produce a parade of dinosaurs in the subway.
Countryside officer and project organiser Carol Lycett said: "We have tried to include the children's favourite dinosaurs in the proposed design.
"It will include the T Rex, Triceratops and Brontosaurus creating a Jurassic land scene on one wall and a prehistoric seascape on the other side."
Donosaur "artists" are urged to arrive at Grange Farm, off Howe Road, by 10am on Sunday. They should wear old clothes and, if possible, bring a paintbrush and paint with them.
