A FILLY foal had to be destroyed after being injured by a hit-and-run driver near Lyndhurst.
The incident happened at dusk last Thursday on the B3056 at Matley Ridge. Another filly was put down after being hit in broad daylight near Godshill on Sunday.
A Charolais steer was hurt last Monday at 6.40am near Hatchet Lane, Beaulieu, and a brown pony was later hit by a car at 8pm at Parkhill but ran off uninjured.
The figures on animal accidents in the New Forest are released weekly by the Court of Verderers.
