BREWERY giant Whitbread led businessesmen and women over assault courses, through drill exercises and around the swimming pool in a challenge day at HMS Collingwood in Fareham.
The event was organised to support Southampton-based children's charity the Rose Road Appeal.
This unusual fundraising day involved 40 teams from across Whitbread's businesses plus teams from HSBC, HAS Healthcare, Knight & Lee, Zurich FS and BAE Systems.
The event was a huge success raising £10,000 towards the charity's £4.75 million target to build a new centre for profoundly-disabled children in Hampshire.
Janice Holmes, Rose Road appeals director, said: "We are extremely grateful for the support from Whitbread, its staff and all the participating teams.
"We are now already well past the £2 million mark".
