FIVE people were taken to Southampton General Hospital after a three-car pile-up at Eastleigh.
The accident happened at around 5pm at the junction of Southampton Road and Chestnut Avenue and the junction was closed for about ten minutes, with Southampton Road remaining closed for a further hour.
A spokesman from Eastleigh Police said the casualties, all from the Eastleigh area, were not thought not be seriously injured.
They included a married couple and their two children who were in a Vauxhall Cavalier, who suffered cuts and bruises, and a woman in a Vauxhall Astra who had whiplash injuries. The driver of the Ford Sierra was unhurt.
