THE draws for third round ties in the Intermediate Cup and Tetley's Bitter Junior Vase competitions have thrown up some intriguing ties.
Winchester have been drawn at home to the reformed Richmond amateur club in the Intermediate Cup, a match between two clubs who forged close links over the years through Ashley Levett's patronage.
Andover and Gosport & Fareham have also been drawn at home and ought to make further progress. But Portsmouth and Tottonians face tricky away ties.
An all-Hampshire clash between Fordingbridge and Overton is the tie of the round in the Vase which, on present form, should go Fordingbridge's way. But it may well be a tense encounter.
The other Hampshire side, Southamp-ton Institute, will have their work cut out against Battersea Ironsides.
INTERMEDIATE CUP - Third round London: Andover v Cobham, Cranleigh v Tottonians, Gosport & Fareham v Imperial Medicals, Old Wimbledonians v Portsmouth, Winchester v Richmond. South West: Wimborne v Bicester.
TETLEY'S BITTER JUNIOR VASE - Third round London: Fordingbridge v Overton, Southampton Institute v Battersea Ironsides.
South West: Littlemore v Oakmedians.
Ties in both competitions to be played Saturday, November 4 (2.30).
