POLICE are hunting a gang of thugs who attacked a man in the toilets at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
The group of four pounced on the victim in the men's toilets at lunchtime.
Southampton Central crimedesk spokeswoman Helen Ward said police were keen to trace another man who was in the public toilets at the time.
Although not involved in the assault, it is thought he may have vital information to help officers with their inquiries.
The attack was carried out by four white men, one of whom was described as aged 30 to 35, with mousy brown receding hair and stubble.
It took place between 1pm and 2pm last Wednesday, but details were not released by police until today.
Anyone with information is urged to call Southampton Central crimedesk on 0845 045 4545.
