VILLAGERS are in mourning after the death of a farmer who supplied strawberries to the Queen.
Strawberry farmer Steve Harris, 89, died at the weekend after suddenly feeling unwell at his home at Meon-by-Farm, Triangle Lane, Titchfield, near Fareham.
He is also remembered for being one of the famous so-called Bonfire Boys who organised the popular Titchfield Carnival.
His son Jim Harris said his father had worked on the farm until recent years.
