HAILED as the next Clannad, Anam have attracted the attention of Celtic music lovers the world over.
Their distinctive sound has seen them tipped as the group to watch on the folk-pop scene, especially since the success of their latest recording Tine Gheal (meaning Bright Fire), their fifth since their debut in 1992.
Anam play one night at The Ashcroft Arts Centre this Saturday. Lead vocalist, guitarist and bodhran player, Brian OhEadhra, is joined on stage by accordian player Treasa Harkin, bouzouki and mandolin player Neil Davey and two new members Anna-Wendy Stevenson and Fiona MacKenzie - fiddle player and vocalist, respectively.
Call the Ashcroft Arts Centre, Fareham on 01329 310600.
