DIRECTORS of Isle of Wight companies, Raymond Benwell of Ford Manor, Whitewell and Martin Bullock, of Main Road, Shorewell, have each been banned from being directors or taking part in company management for six years by Newport County Court.
The Department of Trade & Industry's insolvency service said the ban was imposed because of their conduct as directors of two failed companies.
Mr Benwell and Mr Bullock were directors of Penham Trading Company and Le Moulin Rouge.
Penham provided staff to other businesses run by Mr Benwell and Mr Bullock at premises at the Bugle Inn, Yarmouth and the New Inn, Shalfleet, and was wound up in August 1999 with an estimated deficiency of £22,191.
Le Moulin carried on business as proprietors of a licensed caf bar from premises at St Thomas Square, Newport and was wound up in March 1999 with a deficiency of £58,866.
