TWO Andover companies took part in Get in the Pink day to support the Cancer Research Campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Staff at the Andover Advertiser and Guilbert UK wore a pink item of clothing on Friday in a symbolic variation of dress down day.
Pink is the colour for the breast cancer awareness campaign hence the name for the day which is the focus of the charitys fundraising.
Staff were invited to make a £1 donation for the privilege of wearing pink clothes and those who did not take part made donations in return for a pink ribbon.
Andy Craig, Guilbert marketing director, said: At Guilbert UK we have already raised more than £40,000 for The Cancer Re-search Campaign and are de-lighted to lend our support to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Andover Advertiser raised cash on the day with most members of staff taking part.
Organiser Jo Syani said: We are quite a female-orientated office and felt we had to get involved and show our support to a charity which is close to many hearts.
