IF YOU have ever hankered for the grease paint and the bright lights then Southampton's Nuffield theatre is offering to put you under the spotlight.
There is a rare opportunity for adults to learn more about theatre in a series of workshops led by professional tutors.
It follows last year's sell out series of workshops when the Nuffield offered courses on all aspects of theatre from acting and directing to the technical side of theatre production.
On Sunday new Nuffield Theatre script executive John Burgess formerly from the Royal National Theatre, will lead a day's workshop on theatre writing for budding scriptwriters.
Coinciding with fireworks night there will be a pyrotechnics and special effects' workshop on November 5 while Dominie Hoope, the designer on the Hampshire Youth Theatre's recent production of Beowulf, will take a workshop on November 19 on theatre design.
Workshops - which are also lined up for the New Year- are open to those over the age of 16 the cost is £10 for a full day.
Ring the education department on 023 8034 4515 for information and bookings.
