POLICE in Winchester are hunting a robber who attacked a man in a subway and broke his cheekbone.
The 34-year-old was in the Susses Street subway near to the Hampshire Record Office last Friday when the attacker struck.
The robber punched his victim to the ground and stole his wallet.
He was found by police and taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital and then transferred to Southampton General Hospital.
Detectives are seeking witnesses who may have the seen the victim walking towards the subway between 6pm and 11pm last Friday.
He was wearing a beige coat, a blue jumper and blue jeans.
Detective constable Mandy Fielder said the victim could not remember much about the attack which she described as "nasty".
