AN anti-hunt campaigner woke today to find the mutilated rem-ains of a deer dumped in his front garden.
Ken Golding, a League Against Cruel Sports co-ordinator for Southampton and Waterside, said his wife made the grim discovery as she left for work.
He said: "The head and legs of a deer had been placed in a large bag and thrown over the fence.
"I've covered the remains with a tarpaulin and will hose the area down once the police have been."
Mr Golding, 50, of Redbridge Lane, Southampton, said it was the latest incident in a vicious hate campaign that started about six years ago.
"I've publicly asked hunt supporters to stop putting dead foxes in my garden, so they've obviously decided to use a deer carcass instead."
Nick Ridge, regional representative of the League Against Cruel Sports, said: "Ken has been the target of this sort of intimidation for years.
"But his only response has been to redouble his efforts to campaign peacefully for the abolition of bloodsports.
"The League calls upon New Forest Hounds to demand that supporters of hunting refrain from any further attacks on his home or person."
New Forest Hounds spokesman Nick Smith said: "It's not the sort of thing any of our people would do."
