A FILM focusing on the millennium has come third in a county competition.
The video shows the creation of a millennium window that has been installed at St Peter's Church, Bramshaw.
It was shot by parish councillor Peter Reynolds, of Brook Hill, Bramshaw.
Peter filmed the window's construction at Salisbury Cathedral glassworks, its installation in the church and its blessing by the Rev Derek Clacey.
The seven-minute video was shown at the parish's annual assembly at Fritham Free Church.
Residents heard that the mini-documentary had won a runner-up prize in a Hampshire County Council competition that attracted 30 entrants. Parish council chairman Jack Sturgess praised the film, saying several judges thought it desevered to have won.
Peter, a semi-retired management consultant said the video took about a year to shoot.
"I'm told that had it featured more people - and been more community-orientated - I'd have finished well in front of everyone else," he said.
Peter's prize is an invitation to tour the Meridian television studios in Southampton.
The window featured in his video was created by two retired postage stamp designers, Michael and Sylvia Goaman.
Peter is currently shooting a video about the making of a millennium tapestry at Bramshaw.
