PREMIUM car company Fortnums is expanding its operations by taking over the former BMW premises of Scotthall in Shirley, Southampton.
It expects to create 12 new jobs before Christmas and says, when fully operational, it plans to have a total of 20 staff on the site on the corner of Winchester and Romsey Roads.
Fortnums specialises in retailing prestige used cars and it says it will have 70 cars available at any one time from companies like BMW, Lexus, Audi, Range Rover and Mercedes.
"Every car will have impeccable credentials and will have been subject to a 120-point quality control check before arriving in the showroom,'' said manager Simon Elder.
"Generous part exchange facilities are offered and zero per cent finance is available for up to four years.''
His team plans to operate an exclusive "to your door" test drive facility for potential buyers living within 20 miles.
It's the second prestige car site for Fortnums; it has an existing base at East Horsley, Surrey.
