STARS turned out in force for the Mayor of Winchester's charity Millennium Ball which was noted as "a fabulous occasion" by mayor Allan Mitchell himself.
The evening started with a champagne reception followed by the main dinner, an auction and a performance by a jazz band made up of musicians from the Light Infantry Band.
Notable guests included the Bishop of Winchester, the Right Rev. Michael Scott-Joynt, TV presenter Sally Taylor, and gardening presenter Charlie Dimmock.
The charities to receive funds from this event are Relate, The Samaritans, The Alzheimers Disease Society, Home Start Meon Valley, Cancer Research Trust and the King Alfred's Youth Activity Centre.
