MARWELL Zoo's latest arrival, Hayley the baby zebra, has been pulling in the crowds at only 13 days old.

The stripy bundle of ruffled hair is the fourth foal to be born to mum Wendy at the attraction near Winchester.

Hayley is an endangered Grevy Zebra from northern Kenya and Somalia.

Over 70 Grevy Zebras have been bred at Marwell and the park maintains the international studbook for the species.

Zebras are social, grazing animals, mixing freely in the wild with groups of other savannah creatures such as ostriches.

Together these creatures form an effective early-warning system against predators such as lions.
