Pupils of Lyndhurst Infant School took part in a mass bulb-planting exercise for the millennium.
More than 1,000 bulbs were planted in the grounds as part of the millennium bulb campaign, organised by Mary Fagan, Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, and backed by Women's Institute members throughout the county.
The ceremony at the school was attended by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Jean Vernon-Jackson, Pat Wyeth, chairman of New Forest District Council, and local WI bulb planting organiser Pat Hudson. The school has 80 pupils and the head teacher is Suzanne Lee.
