IT'S a job country park staff near Winchester hope not to have to repeat - cleaning up after litter louts.
Illicit all-night parties bringing noise pollution and damage to rare chalk downland habitat have plagued the Farley Mount area west of the city this summer.
Park worker Kevin Milner has had to clear up after the ravers have left the area strewn with rubbish, bottles, bonfires, pitted vehicle tracks and pools of oil.
Illegal parties have been a problem mainly in the West Wood area and at the barbecue site at Crab Wood.
Now measures are to be taken to prevent any repetition with several tracks being blocked off and banks strengthened to stop vehicles getting onto the grass at the 1,300-acre park.
Park managers are even considering closing the popular barbecue area at Crab Wood although it would be a last resort.
