THE family of one of the country's most eminent naval captains attended the opening of a new exhibition at Gosport's Royal Navy Submarine Museum.
Relatives of Martin Dunbar-Nasmith VC, including his son James and granddaughter Minnie Machale were among the guests.
The exhibition includes the periscope of the First World War submarine HMS E11, shot through by a Turkish gunboat, which was recently moved to the museum at Haslar Jetty Road from the Imperial War Museum.
Also on show are items on loan from the Dunbar-Nasmith family.
