TWO career-minded teenagers from Gosport are heading for the top after successfully completing their apprenticeships in retailing.
Leanne Milton, 17, and Kirsty Scott, 18, passed their New Horizons Modern Apprenticeship in retail operations at Level Two while working for the Fort Brockhurst Buy-Lo store.
The teenagers are employed by Southern Co-operatives Ltd, which operates the Modern Apprentice-ship in connection with Hampshire Training and Enterprise Council. They have been trained in areas such as health and safety, store display and customer relations. Kirsty has been promoted to supervisor and Leanne may take up a similar post once she turns 18.
Manager Darren White said: "Leanne and Kirsty are tackling the Modern Apprenticeship in a committed and disciplined manner. They are an excellent example of what can be achieved through following this career path."
