EXPERIENCED marine electronics engineer and racing yachtsman Richard Tinley is to open an elec-tronics sales, service and technical business on Lymington Marina next month.
He has been a servicing agent for Romsey-based manufacturer Brookes & Gatehouse equipment for a number of years and previously ran an electronics business in the Caribbean for two years.
He is also an experienced offshore racing and cruising yachtsman with a number of transatlantic crossings under his belt.
He is to be joined in the venture at Lymington by Simon Clark, former service manager at B&G, who will act as day-to-day manager.
"We are based right by the water at Lymington, so not only will we be able to provide a practical hands-on service facility for visiting and resident yachts, but we will also specialise in technical support and custom installations with an emphasis on the racing yachts,'' said Mr Tinley.
The new company is to be based in the main office complex at Berthon Boat Company.
