FAREHAM'S Fort Nelson has had a tiny increase in its fire power.
An exhibition of rare and historic military models has opened to the public with some of the items on show, which include guns and pontoons, from the museum's store cupboards, while others are on loan from the Institute of Royal Artillery in Woolwich.
Curator Chris Henry said the oldest exhibit was a barrel dating from 1640, which was a present given to Charles II.
Another model was presented to the Duke of Wellington by Tsar Alexander I of Russia.
"There seems to be a fascination for miniaturised things," added Mr Henry.
The exhibition runs until April next year.
