TWISTED burnt-out remains, once the glory of Southampton's historic Royal Pier are set to carry on crumbling away.
This is despite growing public pressure in the city demanding urgent moves to improve the decaying site with local calls for pier owners Associated British Ports to join forces with the Civic Centre for a second bid for cash from the National Lottery.
