APPRENTICE Graham Beckett has been named tops in the South for his work at Southampton firm Rigfone Electrics.
He beat more than 1,000 other electrical apprentices to reach the finals of the -competition and Southampton mayor Derek Burke presented Graham with his award, a cheque for £350 and a selection of tools.
"To achieve a place in the national final Graham had to gain a high grade in his City and Guilds exams for electrical work and gain more than 95 per cent in the industry skills test," said Rigfone managing director Nigel Philip.
"We are very proud of his achievement."
