A NEW Forest-based conservation group is set to enter the new millennium with the backing of a new breed of online conservationist.
The Game Conservancy Trust, based in Fordingbridge, has relaunched its website with a new look, easier to navigate menus and a greater depth of content.
The trust was already one of the first to launch a website four years ago and since then it has been at the cutting edge in providing information to students, farmers, scientists and country sports world-wide.
It is hoped the new-look site will attract more members and provide a more efficient service to all.
James Long, author of the trust's website, said: "The site has been hugely popular with lots of visitors from around the globe. As it is such an instant media, it has allowed us to provide the latest information about the trust's excellent work to all those interested in game and habitat conservation with access to the internet."
The trust has updated the site with the help of staff at both its UK headquarters and its field stations to include more information about the trust, a new membership section and a completely updated book sales section.
Just contact the trust's site at http://www.game-conservancy.org.uk/ if you are interested.
