MARWELL Zoo and actor John Cleese are uniting to raise cash for a new small carnivores enclosure.
The zoo is focusing on meat-eaters in a week-long event starting on August 25.
Captivating Carnivores features talks, a quiz and trail, themed touch tables, face painting, story-telling, badge-making, lucky dip, art and a photographic exhibition.
The star prize in a raffle is an oil painting of a leopard by the zoo's resident artist Pip McGarry.
The event hopes to raise funds for a new carnivore enclosure for a fossa, a mammal from Madagascar.
John Cleese, a supporter of the zoo, will make a personal appearance at Ferneham Hall, Fareham, on August 26 at 7.30pm for a screening of the film Monty Python And The Holy Grail. Tickets cost £12.50. Box office: 01329 231942.
