THE Southampton and Waterside branch of the ex-WAAF Association marked its ninth birthday in style.
More than 30 people attended a strawberry tea at the St John Ambulance Hall, Kings Park Road, Southampton.
They tucked into a special commemorative cake made by treasurer Margaret Clark and were entertained by a 1940s swing band playing Frank Sinatra hits among others.
Guests included members from the ATS and Wrens' association.
