A NEW chairman has been appointed to lead a major Hampshire law firm into the next millennium.
Niall Brook, who lives at Otterbourne, near Winchester, begins his three-year term at the helm of White and Bowker this month.
He joined the firm in 1987 and was previously head of litigation. He is a specialist in property disputes and commercial law.
"It is a great honour to be asked by my partners to lead White and Bowker, one of the oldest firms in Hampshire, into the next millennium," he said.
"We have a great team of people here who have worked very hard to achieve the excellent reputation we currently enjoy.
"I am determined to build on that reputation through a commitment to the personal development of everyone in the firm, to enable us to continue to offer a quality service which people want, at the right price."
Mr Niall, who is married with two sons, coaches youngsters at the local Trojans rugby club during his spare time and enjoys running.
