STEVE FRANKLIN has quit as manager of Hampshire League Division 1 club Colden Common.
Franklin, who began a second spell as manager in January 1998 and guided Common to the Hampshire League title in 1996 during his first spell at Main Road, quit after a dispute with the club's committee.
Franklin said: "This was done after the outcome of a vote on a footballing matter that was disputed by myself as not being in the best interest of the club and would damage the chances of our teams in major local com-petitions."
