WHEELS were in danger of catching fire as members of the Boys' and Girls Brigade set a scorching pace around Southampton Common.
The Wheels Around the Common sponsored event got into top spin with the wheels including decorated bicycles, prams, buggies, wheelchairs, roller blades, skates and skateboards.
It was organised by the South West Hampshire Battalion of the Boys' Brigade and the Wessex district of the Girls' Brigade.
The wheelie good event was a money spinner for Europe to Europe - a Christian charity working in Romania which helps abandoned, disabled and street children to rebuild their lives.
