OUTSTANDING prospect Rosie Chase gave the opposition the runaround as Eastleigh Eagles swooped for victory in the Marshall Rolfe Toyota Junior Basketball League playoffs at Fleming Park.
The precocious Chase top scored with ten points as Eastleigh defeated an allboy Romsey Raiders side 21-8 in the under-13 final.
In the semi-final, Chase had netted 13 second-half points as they inflicted a surprise 27-19 defeat on league champions Southampton Seagulls.
An overtime basket by Kyle Spencer gave Hamble Jumpjets the edge in an exciting thirdplace playoff against Southampton after the two sides had finished 22-22 at the end of normal time.
A ten-point haul from topscorer Ed Blount enabled Southampton Scalleys to complete an under-15 league and playoff double as they squeezed home 21-18 against Eastleigh Eagles.
Some superb outside shooting by James Condylis pushed Hamble Jumpjets to a 43-24 success in their third-place playoff against Romsey Raiders.
