SHE may have been abandoned by her mum, but Bridie the white wallaby from Marwell Zoo has found someone else to love her.
Saskia Wiemers, one of the keepers from the zoo, has hand-reared Bridie for the past two months. She bottle-feeds the albino Bennett's Wallaby, a species native to Tasmania, and takes her home at night.
In the daytime Bridie lives in a special pouch near to the keepers' messroom, where she likes to curl up and sleep.
In addition to her milk she now enjoys fruit and vegetables, especially bananas.
