THE customer services department at Southern Water has been awarded Investors in People accreditation.

Training and quality manager Paul Graham said that training and development forms a key part of the company's efforts to maintain the highest levels of customer service.

"We firmly believe that by fully involving staff in our busness it will unlock potential and improve performance which will in turn benefit our service to customers," he said.

The commitment includes the planning for individuals and teams, carrying out a well-defined and continuous training programme and evaluating progress.
