MEET the luckiest man in Southampton, Frank Hooton, who is celebrating a double dose of good fortune within 24 hours.
Cheering the Saints on to Premiership survival on Sunday afternoon was one thing. Then on Monday morning he won a £30,000 house in France in a radio draw.
"I just can't believe it. It has not really sunk in yet. I've never even been to France before. We normal-ly go to Cornwall," said Frank, a milkman.
"It's been an amazing 24 hours, such a good day. Me and my wife Liz just can't take it in."
Liz commented: "This is a wonderful surprise. The grandchildren will love it."
It was lifelong devotion to the Saints which set him up to win the one-bedroom seaside house with swimming pool at St Michel Chef Chef.
His season ticket seat number 31 in the Archers Road end was chosen at half-time of the Everton match to enter the Ocean FM draw.
Frank, 56, of Charles Knott Gardens, Banister Park, got time off from his city centre round to attend the 7am draw at the Portsmouth Marriot Hotel.
But just how devoted a fan is Frank If he could take only one prize which would it be, the house or the Saints
"That' s a tough question. But I think I would have to keep the Saints up."
