PEDAL POWER: Francis Benali and Kevan James with fitness instructors Tony Gillette, Audrey Fraser, Ben Goodridge and Graham Hale, get riding to help the NSPCC.
AFTER 24 hours of non-stop pedalling most of us would expect the view to be worth it.
But for four dedicated cyclists, a night and day of puffing and panting won't even take them from the place where the bikes are parked.
The Southampton fundraisers are clocking up the miles on exercise bikes at the city's De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel. Although the travel is limited, the charity event should go a long way towards helping deprived youngsters. The exercise bike challenge, launched by former Saints star Francis Benali and Hampshire cricketer Kevin James, is set to raise £1,000 for the NSPCC.
It was organised by the hotel's leisure club assistant, Tony Gillette, who is keen to see children's charities benefit.
His colleagues Ben Goodridge and Toby White ran the London Marathon to raise money for Southamp-ton's Rose Road children's centre and a 24-hour bike ride organised through the hotel's leisure club raised nearly £1,000 for Leukaemia Busters.
Ben and Tony, along with Audley Fraser and Graham Hale who also work at the leisure club, will start pedalling from 6pm on Sunday May 30.
Hotel staff and leisure club members will use a third bike to raise money by completing hour-long cycling sessions.
